Community Pop Up Schemes

The Community Pop up Schemes started In July 2020 on the back of the Covid 19 pandemic where we were unable to run sessions within the centre.

CVYP- Adapted the Minibus to allow us to reach out to the local community, offering a wide range of outdoor activities, by using community fields, open green spaces and the coast/beaches by inviting young people from the community to come and take part whilst following Covid 19 Guidelines. A wide range of sports including football, basketball, archery, rounders’ and cycling enabled the young people to participate in daily fitness activities. 

Good relationships were formed with the young people and families, building up the trust and establishing new community links. We were supported from other organisations with an ongoing commitment we were able to provide food and drinks as we identified it was much needed. 

This was a big success with young people from all around the local area participating in daily activities. We had an opportunity to reconnect with the young people and learn more about what they wanted and services which were needed. 

On the back of this we now offer the Pop up activity’s and Schemes throughout School Holidays.
