As a registered charity, we at CVYP undertake large amounts of fundraising for the centre. Fundraising with our young people we raise money for each group to allow them to take part in new and exciting activities and residentials. We also are currently fundraising for The Chirdon Head Outdoor Centre, Kielder, which we are currently developing.

Fundraising with our young people we take part in many activities. They include:

  • Fayres/coffee mornings

  • Sponsored bike rides

  • Bag-packs at local supermarkets

  • Sponsored walks

  • Raffles & tombola

  • Bake sales

Working in Partnership with and Supported By Sage Foundation!

As a major part of our fundraising for The Chirdon Head Outdoor Centre, Kielder, we have been working in partnership with Sage Foundation and Steve Hare, CFO Sage PLC. Self-proclaiming he would rather watch sport than take part, Steve began running, with his challenge being completing the 500km Newcastle Park Run. Since the completion of this Steve has continued with various teams in the UK and internationally, to run and fundraise for the CVYP to help us raise £150,000 for The Chirdon Head Outdoor Centre, Kielder. Posting his progress on Twitter on @SteveHareCFO and @Sagefoundation, Steve continually shows his support to this innovative project.

We are also now getting support from the RDPE, Rural Development for England.
